Windsong. Linda Rupard

This is Dog Walton working on his windmill here in Big Spring back in March at our workshop.  He sent us out side to sketch the windmills in abstract ways .   Did not see Doug outside.  Interesting that he found a windmill idea inside museum using wheel of old car as his windmill subject .   I have picked up my paintings from Dougs students  museum show that was over Saturday.  Same day of the earthquake in Nepal.   Doug & his group can not be rescued at this time .  Government says no private rescues because so many are waiting for relief.  Prayers for Doug & all the others are needed.  The other windmill is my painting that I worked some more on after it came home.  Getting ready for our art festival in Snyder Friday night May 8 and Sat May 9.

Lightening Storm Linda Rupard

Lightening Storm is another of my  small skins paintings.  Not sure if I will mount it to a bit of  old cut up watercolor painting  or mount on a canvas or foam core.  Once mounted I will use MinWax   Polycrylic ( water based) protective finish to it.    I  did get to go to Lamesa to paint with JoBeth Tuesday & I did this watercolor that day .   I love watercolor so will do another  soon just forgot how much fun watercolor can be.

Wild Thing Linda Rupard

Wild Thing is the way  I feel when I do this type of abstract art so may have to do a series of wild things.  Mixed media post card size.  Used a cut up watercolor for the background.

Sparse Linda Rupard

I did this small 8 X 8 yesterday using  the method I learned in Doug Walton's workshop.  Sorry about not cropping but having trouble again with my drop box.  This is on gallery wrap canvas with the sides finished to match the front.   No frame needed.
