Amaryllis Blossom Linda Rupard

This is 1 blossom   of 4 that are on my amaryllis plant .  I  will study it awhile & see if it needs more light or dark then will varnish.  This is on Gallery wrapped canvas  18/24.  My show is still up at Heritage museum  & will be up until mid Aug .  Museum is open Tues-Fri   8:30 to 4:00 and Sat 10:00 to 4:00.   We had a wonderful rain for 4 days this last week and  little more then 5 inches was welcome.  Cooler weather was great too.Sat was my Coahoma School &  class reunion   & it was so nice to see lots  of my old   friends.

Elegance.

Roses are the favorite flower of lots of people. They make such a pretty center piece. Roses are always welcome from Sweetheart or Friend. Look great in as formal bouquet or just makes any place feel good & fragrant. Love the old Tea Roses for their wonderful fragrance. This is a watercolor on paper with ink. 11 x 15

Water Lily

We were in San Angelo at the International Water Lily Collection where I took lots of photos of the many beautiful Lilies. Lilies were from all over the world. Some had pads that were 5 ft or so across. Many different colors of blooms. We went at noon which is not a good time to go. Besides blistering the shadows aren't as good & it is harder to get a good photo with the sun so bright. I though there would be some shade trees but none were over the lily ponds. This was one of the Lilies we saw there.

Clastic Spring Flower

This is one of our Spring flowers with bright orange colors . These pretty flowers grew in the yard of my former house. I did get to bring some of my plants to our new house but they probably wont make it. No rain & water restrictions with the tremendous heat has been hard on our transplants & new plants. Fire burned 15,ooo acres of our pretty mountains yesterday & still burning at this time. The flames were visible from our house last night. We are praying for rain & less heat.

This is my version of our magnolia challenge. I took a photo of these beautiful flowers at Olive Garden in Midland. I always think of these flowers as Southern Ladies. Beautiful , fragile & soft.
