Manikin. Linda Rupard
I decided to rework this painting again. Done over an old watercolor painting that I reworked with acrylic. First time around I had left the features more rough with dark splotches & rough irregular lines just went back & refined that face some more . I do like it this time much better. It is fun to use an old watercolor to paint over interesting areas you cant get any other way. My show is up at the Heritage Museum & will be up until August 17. Reception is Sat July 13 from 1:00 to 3:00. Museum is open Tuesday through Friday 8:30 to 4:00. Sat open but opens later.

South West Sunset Linda Rupard
This is a paper collage on a 12 X 12 gallery wrap canvas. Found from paper put down from one of my cut up cards where this image magically appeared and I defined it with more paper collage . I am working on my show for July. I am also taking 2 fun online workshops. I will try to find time to post some of my work from these workshops soon along with some of my new work . The Caboose show continues until the last week in June .

River Runs through It 2 Linda Rupard
This is a collage on a wooden cradle board. I begin with the design from one of my cards. I kept adding paper until I saw something in the design then I developed the landscape with more paper collage. This painting will be in my Museum show in July.

White Poppy Linda Rupard
This is another painting I painted for our Caboose show inspired by old Masters paintings. This is a painting inspired by Georgie O'Keeffe's big flowers. 20 X 24 gallery wrapped canvas with sides painted to match painting so no frame needed. A quote from Readers Digest explains O'Keeffe as larger then life just as her paintings were often larger then life, so too were the lore & legends surrounding this extraordinary woman. I used a artificial poppy to paint this flower. O'Keeffe used artificial flowers too because living in the dessert live flowers weren't as easy to come by as the artificial ones. Our reception will be tomorrow night 5:00 to 7:00 at the Heritage Museum in Big Spring.
