Island Linda Rupard

We have been on the road since August.      Tex got a Bear permit for a hunt in MI.   We went to MI visited kids and seeing many photo moments  we finally arrived back in TX last week.   Was glad to see TX .    Seemed to be lots longer then 2 months.    One of  our little Poms fell out of RV & had to have surgery for her hip separation ,   then  rains came  &. Studio flooded but thankful for all the rain.   Honey Bear is doing well and  Tex is trying to fix studio again so rain won't flood into it.   Tex got his Bear and we saw lots of fall color in the U P of MI,  WI and MN  .  We took a trip out to Macanaw Island which is an artist dream.  All traffic is bike, horse or walk no motorized vehicles, Have to take a ferry to get to the Island,     sharing some photos from there.  I got many wonderful photos from that area and with all the others expect to spend lots of time in studio if I can get it back together.   I happened to find a Workshop with Karlyn Holeman in WI  and was excited to be able to study with her.

RV Poppy. Linda Rupard

This is a poppy I did in the RV to cover up a patch I had to do of the wall near the floor .   Hard to paint laying on floor but now Tex's  boo boo is hidden & patch is covered up with the poppy.   Wish I would have taken a photo of the boo boo but looked so bad just wanted to get rid of it.   Yea, looks so much better.

Windsong. Linda Rupard

This is Dog Walton working on his windmill here in Big Spring back in March at our workshop.  He sent us out side to sketch the windmills in abstract ways .   Did not see Doug outside.  Interesting that he found a windmill idea inside museum using wheel of old car as his windmill subject .   I have picked up my paintings from Dougs students  museum show that was over Saturday.  Same day of the earthquake in Nepal.   Doug & his group can not be rescued at this time .  Government says no private rescues because so many are waiting for relief.  Prayers for Doug & all the others are needed.  The other windmill is my painting that I worked some more on after it came home.  Getting ready for our art festival in Snyder Friday night May 8 and Sat May 9.
